The Royal army was commanded by Charles I King England, Scotland and Ireland (41) (with his son Charles II King Scotland, II King England, Scotland and Ireland (12) present), Rupert Palatinate-Simmern 1st Duke Cumberland and Richard Spencer (49) , and included Maurice Palatinate-Simmern, Richard Byron 2nd Baron Byron (36) , Lucius Carey 2nd Viscount Falkland (32) , Charles Cavendish (22) , Spencer Compton 2nd Earl Northampton (41) , Thomas Salusbury 2nd Baronet Salusbury and William Feilding 1st Earl Denbigh (55) . George Stewart (24) and Robert Bertie 1st Earl Lindsey (59) were killed. Of the Parliamentary army Basil Feilding 2nd Earl Denbigh (34) and Robert Devereux 3rd Earl Essex (51) . Oliver St John 5th Baron St John Bletso (39) was wounded.
