On 02 Aug 1100 William "Rufus" II King England (44) was killed whilst hunting, not known whether accidentally or otherwise, in the New Forest [Death of William Rufus]. The brothers Robert Beaumont-Roger 1st Earl Leicester, Count Meulan (60) and Henry Beaumont-Roger 1st Earl Warwick (50) , and Roger Clare (34) and Gilbert Clare (34) were present.

After 25 Jul 1101 Henry "Beauclearc" I King England and Robert Curthose Normandy III Duke Normandy, brothers, both sons of William "Conqueror" I King England, signed the Treaty of Alton at Alton by which Robert Curthose Normandy III Duke Normandy agreed to renounce his claim to the English throne in exchange for a yearly stipend and other concessions.

Henry's army was commanded by William Warenne 2nd Earl Surrey and Robert Beaumont-Roger 1st Earl Leicester, Count Meulan (66) . Elias La Flèche-De Baugency I Count Maine commanded the reserve. William "Brito aka Breton" Dalbini, Alan Canhiart IV Duke Brittany, Raoul Tosny (26) , William "Butler" Daubigny (42) , Robert Grandesmil (19) and William Normandy I Count Évreux fought for Henry. Robert Curthose Normandy III Duke Normandy (55) was captured and spent the next twenty-eight years in prison; never released. William Mortain Count Mortain, and 2nd Earl Cornwall (22) was also captured and spent the next thirty or more years in prison before becoming a monk. Edgar "Ætheling" II King England (55) was captured and subsequently released; Henry had married to Edgar's niece Edith aka Matilda Dunkeld Matilda Queen Consort England (26) in 1100. Robert II Bellême 2nd Count Ponthieu, 3rd Earl Shrewsbury (50) escaped. Robert Stuteville was captured.
20 Aug 1119 Battle of Bremule (Gaillardbois-Cressenville)
On 20 Aug 1119 at the Battle of Bremule Henry "Beauclearc" I King England (51) and his son William Adelin Normandy Duke Normandy (16) defeated the army of Louis "Fat" VI King France who had invaded Normandy in support of William Clito Normandy Count Flanders (16) 's (Henry "Beauclearc" I King England (51) nephew) claim to the Duchy of Normandy at Gaillardbois-Cressenville.
25 Nov 1120 Sinking of The White Ship (Barfleur)
On 25 Nov 1120 the White Ship left Barfleur with a party of young Normans. Henry "Beauclearc" I King England (52) had left earlier on another ship. A mile out the White Ship foundered on a submerged rock. All bar one were drowned. The event had a significant impact on the succession leading to the Anarchy during which first cousins Matilda Normandy (18) , daughter of Henry "Beauclearc" I King England (52) , his only remaining legitimate child, and Stephen I King England (26) , son of Adela Normandy (53) (daughter of William the Conqueror), waged war over the succession.
